NOTICE
Risk of damaging the surface of the cushion. Do not allow sharp objects to come into contact
with the cushion and do not expose the cushion to open flames.
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to impermissible temperature. Do not expose the cushion to tempera-
tures of more than 55 °C / 131 °F for a longer period of time.
If the cushion was exposed to temperatures of less than 0 °C / 32 °F for a longer period of time,
touch the Floam pad to test how it feels. If it feels hard, knead the pad with your hands until it
is fluffy again. Place the cushion on the wheelchair.
NOTICE
Damage due to inflation. Inflating the seat cushion could split the seams. Therefore, avoid
inflating the seat cushion. Please note that the seat cushion automatically inflates when in un-
loaded condition (for more information see Section 1.5).
1.5  Function
The Z-Flo cushion was developed for users who want more comfort than conventional foam
cushions can offer.
Z-Flo consists of a cover (1), Floam pad (2) and foam base with air chamber (3).
The new kind of polymer gel, Floam, effectively reduces pressure. Welded seams in the pad pre-
vent the Floam from accumulating in areas where it is not desirable.
The foam base enhances the comfort of the cushion.
The pressure in the air chamber can be adjusted with the valve. If you do not sit on the cushion,
the air chamber automatically inflates itself after opening the valve. Sit down on the cushion and
simultaneously press the valve to let escape air from the air chamber (4). Once the desired seat-
ing stability is achieved, close the valve.
After closing, retract the valve into the foam base to make it flush with surface of the foam base.
1.6  Accessories
The seat cushion can be combined with an incontinence cover (article number 477C00=
ST410/..411/..412/..413).

2.1  Positioning
INFORMATION
Pressure on the cushions can only be optimally distributed, if the footrest of the wheelchair has
been adjusted in such a way that the thigh of the user is in full contact with the cushion surface.
Always make sure that the cushion is correctly positioned in the wheelchair and that the cover is
correctly re-mounted after it has been removed.
Place the cushion on the wheelchair. The "back" label attached to the bottom side of the cush-
ion should point towards the backrest. The cushion is easy to attach to the back tubes with two
straps. The channels for guidance of the legs must point forwards.
