2.2 Function Test
Daily:
Loosen up the Z-Flo cushion by pushing the polymer gel of the Floam pad from the sides towards
the centre of the cushion. Do not take the cushion out of the cover.
Since the Floam's own weight does not cause it to flow, this measure makes sure that a maximum
of Floam is underneath the user.
Monthly:
For inspection of the Floam you can remove the cushion cover. Loosen the four elastic straps that
fix the Floam pad to the foam base and check whether the Floam is in good condition.
2.3 Assembly
For cleaning it may be necessary to remove the cushion parts from the cover. To do so, open the
zipper of the cover and remove the cushion parts.
For reassembly, please proceed in reverse order paying attention to correct orientation:
• The valve in the foam base must point forwards and downwards.
• The "back" label of the Floam pad must point towards the backrest.
• The channels for guidance of the legs must point forwards.
2.4 Cleaning and Care
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to improper cleaning. Do not use any bleaching agents. Do not tumble-
dry the foam parts.
INFORMATION
Should it be necessary to disinfect the cushion (cover/foam parts), add a standard hygiene
detergent during washing (e.g. Sagrotan laundry hygiene detergent).
In case of heavy incontinence, an additional incontinence cover should be used. Wash the cover
separately at 40 °C / 104 °F using a mild, environment-friendly detergent.
Cover
For separate washing, the zipper of the cover can be opened and the cover removed.
1. Turn the cover inside out for cleaning.
2. The cover can be washed at 65 °C / 149 °F using a mild, environment-friendly detergent. To pre-
vent excessive wear we recommend, however, to wash the cover at 40 °C / 104 °F (gentle wash).
3. Allow to air dry. When using an automatic clothes drier, select the gentle cycle at low temperature.
Replace the cover in case of advanced wear and tear.
Foam parts
Hand-wash the foam parts at 40 °C / 104 °F using a mild, environment-friendly detergent. Allow
to air dry.
