6.2. Specific Safety Instructions for Paint Pressure
Tanks
• Local safety, accident prevention, work and environment protection
regulations are mandatory!
• Usage, cleaning and maintenance by skilled personnel only!
• Please check the function of the safety valve [1-7] after every mainte-
nance/cleaning and before every usage by turning it in anti-clockwise
direction! If the safety valve does not release the pressure, immedi-
ately put the tank out of operation and replace the safety valve. The
pressure tank must not be used until a new safety valve has been
installed!
• People whose ability to react is impaired by drugs, alcohol, medication
or for other reasons are not allowed to work with paint pressure tanks!
• Never use a paint pressure tank when damaged or when components
are missing!
• Put paint pressure tank immediately out of operation when damaged,
disconnect it from the compressed air circuit!
• Never tamper with or technically modify the paint pressure tank!
• Use original SATA spare parts and accessories only!
• SATA FDG 24-48 pressure tanks can only be used for the application
of spraying media pertaining to fluid group 2 (EG 1272/2008).
• The application of spraying media which are potentially explosive,
highly flammable, easily flammable, flammable (if the maximum
permissible temperature exceeds the flash point), toxic or oxidising is
strictly prohibited.
Examples: Solvents containing halogenated hydrocarbons, benzine,
kerosine, herbicides, pesticides and radioactive substances.
• Never spray materials containing acid, lye or benzine!
• The temperature of the spray medium must never fall below -10° C or
exceed +50° C!
• Electrostatic charges during the operation of the tank could
lead to formation of sparks. Use only approved, anti-static
hoses. The pressure tank has to be sufficiently grounded!
