4. Information about Installation

Suitable mast bases are first installed for the track system in use. Two diffe-
rent systems of mast bases are included with the latter for C Track and for
K Track.
The 74110 mast base is available for other track systems, and it can be cut
to length for assembly with different track systems.
We recommend highly that you use the mast positioning jigs for all track
systems.

4.1 Working with the 70011 Mast Positioning Jig Set
Using the 70011 mast positioning jig set will automatically give you the correct
spacing from the mast base to the track, it guarantees the maximum deviation
of 6 mm / 1/4" for the catenary wire from the track center, and it reliably sets
an exact spacing for the catenary masts. The mast positioning jig can be
used for installing all Märklin mast types from the current catenary system.
The set consists of two positioning jigs, 1 catenary wire deviation jig and
2 positioning pins.
Positioning Point 1 (37.5 mm / 1-1/2"):
Positioning Point 2 (34.0 mm / 1-5/16"): suitable for all standard masts
Positioning Point 3 (35.4 mm / 1-3/8"):
Positioning Point 4 (40.0 mm / 1-9/16"): suitable for cross spans
