2. Important Information about the Use of the Catenary
5. The catenary does not require additional tensioning.
6. On a layout with powered catenary, a signal block must be installed in the
catenary in front of signals. This is done with the installation of 2 of item
no. 70221, insulated catenary wire sections. At least 1 feeder mast must
be in the signal block. We recommend that you have a feeder mast with
connections to the locomotive power supply directly after the signal block.

7. Be careful with bent wipers on pantographs when running locomotives.
They can become easily tangled in the catenary wire by the masts.
The lower hanger wire on the outrigger arm of a mast may be pointing
down or perfectly horizontal, but never pointing up.
8. The bridge mast differs from the regular catenary masts only in its base.
This base is designed in such a way that it can be clipped onto Märklin H0
bridges and bridge ramps.
