10.2 Function Test

Before performing a function test, the flame detector must be switched on and allowed to remain
in an operational state for at least 30 seconds.
A function test inspects the proper function of the software and the transmission paths (alarm
zone and any fault detector zone) to the fire alarm control panel.
The function test is started by activating the reed contact integrated into the detector housing
through a first contact with the permanent magnet, and the test is finished with a second
contact (change-over function).

For service work on the detector, any alarm forwarding present must be taken into
consideration, such as accidental triggering of a master box (MB).
Maintenance and repair of the detector may only be performed by a qualified expert
who is familiar with the dangers and regulations associated with the device.
