8 Mounting
When installing the flame detector in areas with aggressive ambient conditions (e.g. in tool
machines) or where moisture is expected, the connection cable should be run into the detector
with a "drip-off loop". In special environments, such as where the cable may come into contact
with oil or similar substances, a connection cable that is suitable for such applications must be
used. For elevated requirements regarding the quality of seal at cable inlets, such as outdoor
applications, a special shrinking tube (option) must be used.
• Installation must be performed with the greatest possible care.
• Poor seals and leaks should be avoided (tighten cover screws in cross pattern).
• The detector must not be installed on vibrating surfaces and must never be
subjected to heavy vibrations or jolts.
All power must be disconnected (operating and emergency power supplies) during
assembly and installation work!
