Checking laser visor

The beam setter must be subjected to certain
geometric accuracy checks prior to testing with the
calibration device:
1. Check the perpendicularity of the stand with a
plumb line.
2. Check the squareness of the visor with a steel
square.
3. Check that the line laser is visible when switched on.
Replace the batteries if it is not clearly visible.

Positioning beam setter

1. Position the beam setter facing and on a level with
the calibration device.

The distance should be 20 – 30 cm.

2. Use the spirit level in the light box to check the
horizontal alignment of the light box.
3. For horizontal alignment, the line generated by the
laser must be aligned with the alignment bars on the
calibration device.

Compensation for minor alignment errors is provided
by the lens geometry.
