Checking threaded connections and seals

Some screws on the DAS 3000 are sealed. The seals must not be damaged. The seals ensure that the
DAS 3000 functions properly.

 Ensure that all unsealed screws are tight.
 Check the sealed screws that secure the camera to the adapter plate.
— Check that the camera functions properly with the aid of the customer service menu Bosch ADAS Positioning if
the seal is damaged.
The camera must not be removed from the adapter plate. The camera is mounted on the adapter plate at the
factory and calibrated as an assembly. If the camera is removed from the adapter plate, the calibration is lost
and the camera cannot be used. Screws that must not be loosened are sealed.
 Check the sealed screws that secure the spirit level at the 2-degree setting.
The spirit level is adjusted precisely on the DAS 3000 at the factory. If the threaded connection on the spirit
level is loosened, allowing the position to change, the precise adjustment is lost. This prevents exact posi‐
tioning of the calibration boards in front of the vehicle. Errors can arise during calibration of the front camera
or radar sensor.

2.2 Checking the camera on the DAS 3000 S10

1. Position the hammerhead nuts for the mounting
2. Secure the mounting with knurled screws (2).
3. Level the mounting by placing the spirit level on the mounting.
