handle to unlock the latch.
Lift the mulching plug
slightly before pulling it
out.
Installing/removing
the side discharge
chute (Fig. A, J)
Caution! The blade
is sharp, contacting
the blade can result
in serious personal
injury.
Caution! Stop the
machine and make
sure the blade has
stopped completely.
1. Lift the deflector safety
lever (22) to release and
lift the side discharge
deflector (21)
2. Slide two hooks of side
discharge chute (23)
under hinge pin on side
discharge deflector
assembly.
3. Release the side discharge
deflector (21) to secure
the chute (23) in position.
4. To remove the side
discharge chute (23),
reverse the steps above.
Filling with engine oil
and checking the oil
level (Fig. A, G)
Place the equipment on
a level base.
Check the oil level every
time before mowing
and add oil before the
lower marking point is
reached.
1. Make sure the engine is
level and clean the oil fill
area of any debris.
2. Unscrew the oil tank cap/
dipstick (8) and wipe with
a clean cloth.
3. Reinstall the dipstick (8)
and tighten, remove the
dipstick (8) and check the
oil level. The correct oil
level should be at the top
of the full indicator on the
dipstick (8).
4. If the oil level is low,
slowly pour oil into the
tank. Do not overfill. The
