Introduction UNIDRIVE
Your device is very complex in its use and can be divided into three categories:
A UNIDRIVE – Descender Device
B UNIDRIVE - Rescue Lifting Device
C UNIDRIVE – Working Device
All functions are subject to various directives and standards and contain – even with correct and prop-
er use – fundamental hazards for the life and limb of the user. For this reason it is an obligation to
thoroughly read these operating instructions for the respective application and to learn and practice
the application in one of the manufacturer's or an authorized training facility.
These operating instructions are not a substitute for training and do not relieve the user of his obliga-
tion to evaluate the safety-related situations of the work or rescue and to take all necessary measures
in order to ensure the safe use of the device. To this belongs a mandatory risk assessment which
must be carried out before starting work. All measures listed in this risk analysis for the reduction of
the risk to the user must be implemented and be checked regularly for their effectiveness.
