The Standard Personality Module (PM) offers three system interfaces:
S serial interface with RS-232C support
®
S Parallel IEEE 1284 / Centronics
compatible
S USB 2.0 compatible.
The interfaces can be operated in different modes:
S parallel interface active
S serial interface active
S parallel and serial RS-232C interfaces in a shared mode
S USB 2.0 interface active.
The following chapter gives an overview about interface characteristics.
Any change to the operation mode by the size of the interface buffer is possible,
when the interface buffer is completely empty of data.
