13. Troubleshooting

Even though the model was built to the latest available technology, there can still be malfunctions or faults. This is why
we would like to show you how to remove possible faults.
Problem
The model doesn't respond
The steering servo is shaking
The steering servo is humming
Vehicle doesn't stop when you let go
of the operating lever for the drive
function
The straight run isn't correct
Steering or driving movements
opposite to movement of
steering wheel and throttle
Remedies
• Check drive battery.
• Check connection of the drive battery.
• Check function switch.
• Check cruise control.
• Check marking on crystals.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Check batteries or rechargeable batteries of transmitter.
• Carry out crystal change on a different channel.
• Dry possible dampness in the receiver with a hair dryer.
• Check receiver antenna for damages and electrical continuity.
• Check drive battery.
• Check that the linkage rods are running smoothly.
• Operate servo without rudder horn for test purposes.
• Set the required value for the drive function correctly with the
help of the trim button.
• Carry out programming of the cruise control.
• Set the required value for the steering function correctly with the
help of the trim button.
• Check the steering rods.
• Check the tolerance in steering/wheel suspension and if neces-
sary replace defective parts.
• Check servo reverse function on the transmitter and if neces-
sary change it.
