13. Care and maintenance

Clean the exterior of the model and the remote control only with a soft, dry cloth or brush. Never use aggressive
cleansing agents or chemical solutions, because they might damage the surface of the housing.
• Check the mechanical parts of the model throughout at
regular intervals. All screwed connections should be tight
and should not loosen up due to vibrations of the
helicopter.
• Make sure that the grub screws in the top set collar (1)
and the bottom set collar (2) of the main rotor shaft have
a tight fit.
• Rotatable parts must turn easily but there must not be
any play in the bearings.
• When replacing mechanical parts use only original
spares available from the manufacturer.
For this illustration, the rear part was dismantled the same way as the cabin hood.
