11. Cleaning and Maintenance
Maintenance or repair of the remote control, the cruise control/receiver or the plug-in
charger must only be carried out in a specialised workshop. Never open these product
components or take them apart.
Improper interference not only results in the licence (CE) to expire but also the gurantee/
warrentee, furthermore there is the risk of a life-threatening electric shock!
a) General Notes on Cleaning
When driving indoors, hair can get caught in the drive; outdoors, eg blades of grass can obstruct the
drive.
Clean the whole vehicle of dust and dirt after driving, use eg a long-haired clean brush and a vacuum
cleaner. Compressed air aerosoles can also be helpful.
Don't use cleaning aerosols or conventional household cleaners, this could damage the electronics.
Discoloring of the plastic material or the car body is also possible.
A soft cloth, slightly dampened with lukewarm water can be used to wipe the car body. Don't rub too
hard otherwise there will be scratch marks or the paint will get damaged.
b) Maintenance Works
At certain intervals maintenance works and function controls that ensure trouble-free operation and
roadworthiness for a long time, are to be carried out on the vehicle.
Motor vibrations and shocks during driving can losen parts and screw fittings. This is why you should
check the tight position of wheel nuts and all screw fittings. The same is the case for other parts of the
vehicle.
Check whether the wheels are seated properly on the rims.
All ball bearings or gears in the vehicle have been provided with suitable lubricants by the manufac-
turer. Normally no relubrication is necessary. However, the joints on the vehicle and the wheel bear-
ings require occassional cleaning and relubrication with suitable lubricants (available in accessory
shops). The same is the case for exchanging drive parts or cog wheels.
It is imperative that you remove excessive oil or fat since this is where dust settles particularly quickly
again. You might furthermore soil floors and carpets or pollute the nature.

7. Recharger le pack d'accus
Le pack d'accu 7,2V du modèle réduit contenu dans l'emballage est vide. Il doit être chargé.
Important :
Avant que le pack d'accus puisse fournir sa puissance maximale, plusieurs cycles de
décharge et de charge sont nécessaires.
Déchargez toujours complètement le pack d'accus afin d'éviter, lors de la recharge, par
un pack d'accus « mi-chargé », le dit effet de mémorisation de l'état de décharge. Ceci
signifie que le pack d'accus perd de sa capacité, il ne donne plus toute l'énergie stockée,
le temps de conduite est de par là diminué.
Si vous utilisez plusieurs packs d'accus ou des accus, il est recommandable alors d'acheter
un chargeur de haute qualité. Ce dernier offre normalement la possibilité d'une charge
rapide des accus.
Procédez de la manière suivante:
• Si la pack d'accus vient d'être retiré du modèle et qu'il est encore chaud, veuillez alors attendre
jusqu'à ce que le pack d'accus se soit refroidi avant de le recharger (minimum 5-10 minutes).
• Branchez le chargeur à brancher sur une prise de courant (230V~/50Hz).
• Connectez le pack d'accus en respectant la bonne polarité au chargeur à brancher. Normalement,
la construction spéciale des deux connecteurs prévient une fausse connexion de l'accu.
Ne forcez surtout pas en enfonçant !
Placez le pack d'accus, pour des raisons de sécurité, sur un support non inflammables,
par ex. sur un sol carrelé. Maintenez le pack d'accus éloigné d'objets inflammables.
Ne jamais recharger le pack d'accus sans surveillance.
Le pack d'accus s'échauffe pendant le processus de charge. Ceci est normal !
• Le processus de charge dure, par un accu complètement vide, environ 5-6 heures (en principe, la
« recharge » d'un accu doit être plus élevée que l'énergie qu'il pourra fournir plus tard).
• Déconnectez le pack d'accus après le processus de charge du chargeur à brancher, déconnectez le
chargeur à brancher de la prise de courant.
• Avant d'utiliser le pack d'accus dans le modèle, attendez qu'il se soit refroidi complètement (mini-
mum 5-10 minutes).
