• Push the locking pin in the cable clamp in order to fix the cable in the cable
clamps.
• Connect the smoke detector as shown in the figure illustrated on the
previous page. Always observe the correct polarity/wiring. Pass the cable
from the first smoke detector to the second one then to the third one and
so on.
• Insert the batteries in each smoke detector observing the correct polarity.
• Place the smoke detector on the lower plate and lock it in place.

Pass the cables through the opening of the module cover plate
and lead them outwards. Make sure, when placing the smoke
detector on the lower plate, that the cables are not clamped by
the sealing.
Additional cable length (which is necessary for a smooth change of the
batteries) can be stored in the shaft in front of the cable clamp.

Too much cable over the the module cover plate can affect the
radio range.
• Test the function of each mounted smoke detector according to chapter 11.

In normal (periodic) tests of the function, which are effected by
pressing the control button up to the pressure point for approximately
2 seconds, only one of the used/tested smoke detectors is
activated.
It is only during a real smoke alarm (e.g. with tobacco smoke) that
all cable-interconnected smoke detectors (as well as radio-
interconnected smoke detectors) set off.
However, the red LED will blink only on the smoke detector that
set off the alarm.
• If, in case of a "real" alarm, one or several smoke detectors do not set off
the alarm, check the wiring (notice the correct polarity!)
