10. Troubleshooting

Even though the model and the remote control system were built with the latest available technology, there can still be
malfunctions or faults. This is why we would like to show you how to correct possible faults. Also observe the enclosed
operating instructions for the remote control system.
The model does not react or does not react correctly
• Are the vehicle drive battery or the batteries/rechargeable batteries in the transmitter empty? Replace the drive
battery or the battery in the transmitter with new ones.
• Is the drive battery correctly connected to the vehicle? Check the plug connection to see if it is dirty or oxidized.
• Is the vehicle too far away? With a full drive battery and full battery in the transmitter, a transmission range of up
to 30 m should be possible. However, this can be reduced by outside influences, such as interference on the radio
frequency or the proximity of other transmitters (not just remote control transmitters, but also WLAN/Bluetooth
devices that also use a transmission frequency of 2.4 GHz), of metal parts, buildings, etc.
• Switch off the vehicle and then switch off the transmitter. Release the lever (E) and the steering wheel (C). First
switch on the transmitter (red LED (B) on the transmitter flashes) and then the vehicle.
The vehicle slows down or the steering is not functioning correctly; the transmission range between
transmitter and vehicle is very short
• The drive battery is weak or empty.
Power is also supplied to the receiver on the vehicle by the drive battery. Therefore, a weak or empty drive battery
will cause the receiver to not function correctly. Replace the drive battery with a new, fully charged drive battery
(before inserting a new drive battery, wait at least 5 - 10 minutes so that the drive can cool down sufficiently).
• Check the battery in the transmitter and replace it with a new one.
The vehicle slows down or comes to a standstill while being driven.
• The drive battery is weak or empty.
• The distance between the vehicle and the transmitter is too large.
The directional stability is not correct
• Adjust the directional stability on the vehicle, see chapter 9. d).
• Has your vehicle had an accident? If so, check the vehicle for any defective or broken parts.
Vehicle moves forward or backwards, even though the lever (E) on the transmitter is not activated
• Turn off the vehicle and then the transmitter. Release the lever (E) and the steering wheel (C) on the transmitter, do
not move these controls, do not hold them. Now switch on the transmitter first and then the vehicle.
