11. Getting started with the
 Model Car
Since your model is already delivered largely prefabricated, there are only a few more things to do before
getting started.

a) Removing the car body

• Before lifting off the car body, the rear wing must be re-
moved.
The wing is secured with two holding brackets (1) which
have to be pushed out sideways from the car body re-
tainers.
Our tip: Glue the two distance sleeves mounted between
the holding brackets and the wing permanently to the
wing. Then they cannot be lost when the wing is removed.
• Next, you can push the 4 holding brackets of the car body
(2) out of the retainers and lift the body off the model.
To do this, slide the car body on the right side from the end tube of the sound absorber (3). Putting on the
car body is carried out in reverse order.
For optimum engine cooling and easy handling of the model it is advisable to cut out the sec-
tions required in the car body for the cylinder head and the cable pull starter.
Also you should make additional small bores to be able to readjust the carburettor when the
car body has been reinstalled.
