14. Controlling with the IR remote control

Instead of operating the device via the display and the buttons on the back of the device, it can also be
controlled via the IR remote control provided.
In order to do so, the IR receiver must be enabled via the menu on the device and there must be
no DMX signal at the DMX IN (13) connection.
• To control the LED spot with the IR remote control, point the IR remote control
at the front of the LED spot and press the desired button.
• The range of the IR remote control is approximately 8 m.
Enabling remote control
• Turn on the LED spot as described in chapter 12 Power supply.
• Follow the steps below on the LED spot to enable remote control:
• Keep pressing the MODE button (12) until "L
• Press the SET UP button (11) until "Iron/lroF" appears. Select "Iron" using the
UP (10) or DOWN (9) buttons.
• Remote control is now enabled for this LED spot. You can operate the LED spot
using the IR remote control at a distance of up to 8 m.
Pairing multiple remote controls with the LED spot
• Keep pressing the MODE button (12) until "L
button (11) until "Iron/lroF" appears. Select "IroF" using the UP (10) or DOWN (9) buttons. Remote control
is now disabled.
• Keep pressing the MODE button until "L
• Press the SET UP button until "lroF" appears. Select "Iron" using the UP or DOWN buttons.
• Turn off the LED spot completely / unplug the mains cable. Turn the LED spot back on / plug the mains
cable back in.
• When "- - - -" is shown on the display (5), point a remote control at the infra-red sensor (on the front of the
LED spot) and press any button on the remote control.
• "1 1 1 1" will appear on the LED display when the remote has been successfully paired with the LED spot.
The first remote control is now paired with the LED spot. You can pair up to five remote controls with the
same unit. Pair the second remote control within 20 seconds in the same way by pressing any button.
"2 2 2 2" will appear on the LED display when the remote has been successfully paired. Proceed in the
same way to pair more remote controls. The display will show four Arabic numerals to confirm the
successful pairing of each remote control with the device.
• Once the maximum number of 5 paired remote controls has been reached, the LED display shows
"5555" and then switches to standby mode. Should you wish to pair fewer than 5 remote controls, wait
for approximately 20 seconds after pairing the last remote control until the LED display automatically
switches to standby mode.
