9. Cordless remote control battery

Keep batteries out of reach of children.
Remove the battery when the device is not in use for extended periods of time.
Do not leave any batteries lying around openly. There is a risk of batteries being swallowed by children or
pets. If swallowed, consult a doctor immediately.
Leaking or damaged batteries may cause alkali burns if they come in contact with the skin. Therefore, use
suitable protective gloves.
Do not short-circuit or dismantle the battery or throw it into fire. It also must not be recharged. Danger of
explosion.
• If the cordless remote control no longer functions properly or if its range reduces strongly, the battery is discharged
and must be replaced by a new one of the same type.
• Turn the screw at the rear of the remote control out and open the housing.
• Remove the discharged battery and insert a new 12 V round cell type 23A. The minus pole of the battery must point
towards the contact spring of the battery compartment.
• Screw the housing of the cordless remote control shut again.

10. Electric connection

a) Wire-bound remote control

• Install the connection cable for the remote control up to the site from which you are going to control the device.
• The rear of the wire-bound remote control is magnetic. The remote control thus sticks to metal objects.
b) Mains connection
If the mains plug is not accessible anymore for disconnecting the device from the mains after installation or
if it is accessible but with difficulty for disconnecting the device from the mains, the voltage supply must be
separated from the mains via an all-pole switch.
Ensure that the voltage indication on the device matches the mains voltage of your power supply. Never try
to operate the device with any other voltage.
Do not let the mains cable come into contact with other cables.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause potentially fatal
electric shock.
Make sure that no cables lie around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent accidents.
• Connect the mains cable low-voltage plug to the mains connection (4).
• Plug the mains plug of the mains line into a mains socket with a protective ground contact for operation of the
device. However, do not plug in the mains plug. Before connecting the device to the power supply, you first have to
fill the tank with fog liquid (see "Operation/preparation").
