NOVA AERON Technical Description:

The concept behind the new NOVA AERON demonstrates a wing with a perfect
combination of maximum performance, uncritical Extreme Flying Manoeuvres and
maximum fun.
The basic form of the NOVA AERON is a slim, elliptical, slightly rearward swept
wing.

Buildup of canopy:

The canopy of the AERON is built by 57 cells over the wingspan. The wingtip is
slightly pulled down, building a kind of stabilizer.
2 to 3 suspended ribs are building a suspension group, which are connected by
short forks of the top line elements. Between those suspended ribs, the ribs are
suspended by diagonal ribs.
This ensures a smooth top surface, exact airfoil reproduction, and yet most
importantly, very few suspension points. So the NOVA AERON has very few lines
and thus associated parasitic drag, which, especially at high speed, gives it an
excellent glide angle.
The profile of the NOVA AERON is computer calculated and selected from many
variations. The best profile was selected. It excels with very high stability, easy
handling, a big speed range and amazingly high performance.
The NOVA AERON presents a closed leading edge to the airflow. Internal Dacron
reinforcements maintain its precise form and provides stability. The cell openings
on the undersurface of the profile's nose provide airflow into the glider. Stretch
resistant Dacron flares, integrated with diagonal ribs at the suspension points,
ensure an even distribution of load throughout the canopy.
Large cross port vents allow effective airflow inside the canopy, providing good
reinflation without reducing the profile accuracy.

Rigging system of the NOVA AERON:

The lines of the NOVA AERON are made of strong and stretch resistant Polyester/
Polyethylene lines.
The entire rigging system comprises individual suspension lines looped and
stitched at each end.
