CHECKING THE SPARK PLUG
ά τnly use the supplied universal wrench to remove or to install the spark plugέ
ά The gap between the two electrodes of the spark plug should be ίέι ά ίέκ mm
(ίέίβκ" ά ίέίγβ")έ If the gap is too wide or too narrow, adjust itέ If the spark plug is
clogged or contaminated, clean it thoroughly or replace itέ
CAUTIτσμ σever touch the spark plug connector while the engine is running
(danger of high voltage electric shock)έ
Cleaning the fuel ilter (suction head in the fuel tank)
WARNING: INFLAMMABLES STRICTLY PROHIBITED
Check and clean the fuel ilter monthly or every ηί operating hoursέ
Check the fuel ilter periodicallyέ To check the fuel ilter, follow the steps belowέ
(1) Remove the fuel tank cap, drain the fuel to empty the tankέ Check the tank
inside for any foreign materialsέ If any, remove themέ
(β) Pull out the suction head by using a wire hook through the tank openingέ
(γ) If the fuel ilter clogged slightly, clean itέ To clean it, gently shake and tap it in
fuelέ To avoid damage, do not squeeze or rub itέ The fuel used for the cleaning
must be disposed in accordance with the method speciied by regulations in
your country.
If the fuel ilter became hard or heavily clogged up, replace itέ
(4) After checking, cleaning or replacing, push the fuel ilter in all the way to the
bottom of the fuel tankέ
Clogged or damaged fuel ilter can cause insuficient fuel supply and reduce engine
powerέ Replace the fuel ilter at least quarterly to ensure satisfactory fuel supply to
the carburetor.
Replacing the fuel pipe
CAUTION: Inlammables strictly prohibited
Check and clean the fuel pipe daily or every 1ί operating hoursέ
Replace the fuel pipe every βίί operating hours or every year regardless of
operating frequencyέ τtherwise fuel leakage may lead to ireέ
If you ind any leakage during inspection, replace the fuel pipe immediatelyέ
INSPECTION OF BOLTS, NUTS AND SCREWS
ά Retighten loose bolts, nuts, etcέ
ά Check for fuel and oil leakageέ
ά Replace damaged parts with new ones for safety operationέ
CLEANING OF PARTS
ά Keep engine clean by wiping down with a cloth ragέ
ά Keep the cylinder ins free of dust or dirtέ Dust or dirt adhering to the ins will
cause piston seizure.
REPLACEMENT OF GASKETS AND PACKINGS
Replace gaskets and packings if the engine is disassembledέ
