Adding grease and lubricant
Important: Make sure that the surface of gear box is completely cold before
lubricating.
ά The gearbox of the pole hedge trimmer should be greased every βη working
hoursέ The grease hole locates under the boltέ Remove the bolt to lubricateέ Add
approxέ η g (ι cc) of grease to the grease holeέ Return the bolt after lubricationέ
(Some grease will emerge from the head of the gearbox (located at the base
of the blades) when the pole hedge trimmer is set in motion the irst time after
greasingέ Use this as a rough indication for the amount of grease to be suppliedέ)
CAUTIτσμ τbserve greasing intervals and the amount of grease to be suppliedέ
εechanical parts of the pole hedge trimmer may be damaged if grease
is not supplied at the prescribed intervals or if an insuficient amount of
grease is addedέ
In case you remove the shaft from the engine or gear case, perform the following
steps when reassemblingμ
1έ Remove foreign objects from the drive axleέ
βέ δubricate grease to the drive axleέ
Daily inspection and maintenance
To ensure a long service life of your pole hedge trimmer, perform the following
inspections and maintenance on a daily basis.

Before use;
• Always check for loose or missing parts before starting operationέ Pay special
attention to the cutting unit and make sure that the cutting blade lock screws
are well tightenedέ
• Check for clogging of the cooling air passages and the cooling ins of the
cylinder before starting operationέ Clean if necessaryέ
ά
After use;
• Clean the pole hedge trimmer externally and inspect for damageέ
• Clean the air ilterέ Clean the ilter several times a day if working in extremely
dusty conditions.
• Check the cutting blades for damageέ εake sure that the blades are securely
mounted.
• If the cutting blades still continue to run at idle after the adjustment, consult
your nearest authorized service agentέ
