Attaching the Floor Cloth and Carpet Glider

Filling / Emptying the Water Reservoir

CAUTION!
❐ Always switch off the device before you fi ll the water reservoir.
❐ Do not overfi ll the water reservoir! Never pour more than 700 ml of water into the water
reservoir.
❐ To fi ll the water reservoir, use the measuring cup that is also supplied.
❐ If the viewing window of the water reservoir fl ashes up red during use, the water reservoir is
empty and needs to be fi lled.
❐ Never pour any cleaning agent or additives into the device. This could destroy the device and
safe working is no longer guaranteed.
We recommend that you pour preferably distilled water into the water reservoir in order
to prevent calcifi cation, particularly if your tap water is very hard.
1. Open the water reservoir by unscrewing the water reservoir cap on the back of the device in
the anticlockwise direction.
2. Check the water reservoir for any residual water and remove it by emptying the water reservoir
over a suitable vessel or sink.
3. Pour cold, clean water into the reservoir. Use the measuring cup which is supplied to do this.
The reservoir holds up to 700 ml.
4. Screw the water reservoir cap back onto the water reservoir by screwing it clockwise.

❐ Danger of scalding! Never direct steam at people, animals, plants or items containing electrical
components (for example stereo equipment, televisions, switches, lamps, microwave ovens etc.).
❐ Danger of scalding! Only hold the device by the handle when you are using it.
• The fl oor cloth attaches to the cleaning foot by means of Velcro
fasteners. Attach it to the cleaning foot and press it on fi rmly. After
use, simply detach it from the cleaning foot.
• To clean carpets, place the carpet glider (M) fl at on the fl oor and
place the cleaning foot with the fl oor cloth into the carpet glider.
