Care

To ensure that your steam cleaner can clean your fl oors with full force, you should descale the
device at regular intervals (after around 25-50 applications) or if you notice that the device is taking
longer to emit steam.
1. Pour a mixture of one part vinegar and two parts water into the water reservoir.
2. Position the device in such a way that the steam that is emitted does not hit any delicate fl oors
or other objects.
3. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
4. Press the On/Off switch to switch on the device. The viewing window in the water reservoir
lights up red as soon as the device starts heating up. Wait until the device has reached operating
temperature and the viewing window lights up blue.
5. Allow the vinegar/water mixture to run through the device fully once.
6. Switch the device off and pull the mains plug out of the plug socket.
7. Rinse the water reservoir once with fresh water to remove vinegar residues and odours.

Troubleshooting

If the device is not working properly, please check fi rst of all whether you are able to rectify a
problem yourself. Otherwise you should contact the customer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective device yourself.
Problem
The device does not
work. /
The control lamps
do not light up.
No steam is
emerging.
Possible cause / solution
• Is the mains plug correctly inserted into the socket?
• Is the plug socket defective?
Try another plug socket.
• Check the fuse of your mains connection.
• Have you switched on the device using the On/Off switch?
• Is the water reservoir empty? Refi ll it.
• The device is not yet ready to operate.
The device needs to heat up for a few seconds before steam can
emerge. The device has reached operating temperature when the
viewing window in the water reservoir lights up blue.
• The water reservoir is empty.
Top up the water reservoir (see the "Filling / Emptying the Water
Reservoir" chapter).
