❐ Never attempt to repair an electrical device or replace parts yourself. Contact the nearest
customer service centre/qualifi ed professional or, in the event of damage, contact customer
service.

Avoiding damage to materials, property and the device

❐ Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Do not pull or carry the device by the cable.
❐ Always work with suffi cient lighting.
❐ Do not use any additional accessories. Only use the enclosed accessories from the manu-
facturer.
❐ Never remove the water tank cap when the device is in use! The water tank cap is under
pressure. Always make sure that the water tank is fi lled with water and safely closed before
you use the device.
❐ Never use the device without water.
❐ Do not overfi ll the water tank! Use the enclosed measuring cup and funnel to fi ll the water
tank. The maximum fi ll volume of the water tank amounts to 0.9 litres.
❐ Use normal or distilled water to fi ll the water tank. Other liquids may cause damage to the
device.
❐ Never fi ll the device with cleaners or fragrance additives. They may irreparably damage the
device and as such, the safe operation of the device can no longer be assured.
❐ Never cover the steam vent, do not place it on soft bases (which may block it), and do not
insert any objects in it.
❐ Never use the cleaning head without a fl oor cleaning cloth!
❐ Each time before using the device, check the fl oor cleaning cloth for wear. It may not be used
if it is visibly worn down or exhibits damages! Otherwise, your fl ooring could sustain damage!
❐ Always test clean a small, unnoticeable area fi rst.
❐ Never pointy the vapour stream to one area for an excessive amount of time.
❐ Do not use the device on cold glass surfaces. The hot steam could rupture the glass.
❐ Surfaces, which have been treated with wax, may lose their coat due to heat and steam!
❐ Maintain adequate distance to heat sources such as stoves or ovens to prevent damage to
the device.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fl uctuations, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ To clean the device do not use corrosive or abrasive cleaning products (e.g. vinegar) or
cleaning pads.
❐ When cleaning the device, no liquid may penetrate it. It could cause considerable damage to
the device.
❐ Only return the device to its storage place once it has completely cooled off and the water
tank is completely empty.
