❐ Danger of scalding! After you switch off the device, hot steam may continue to emerge for a
few seconds! Be careful!
❐ Always switch off the device and pull the mains plug from the plug socket before you remove
the fl oor cleaning cloth or the carpet glider.
❐ Danger of scalding! The fl oor cleaning cloth may be very hot during and shortly after use.
You should therefore wait for a few minutes until the fl oor cleaning cloth has cooled down
completely before you remove it.
❐ Before using the device, always check the fl oor cloth and the carpet glider for signs of wear and
damage. Do not use the fl oor cleaning cloth and the carpet glider if they have visible signs of
wear or are damaged. Your fl ooring could be damaged.
❐ Use the device only if it is in good working order and has been fully assembled and the fl oor
cleaning cloth or the carpet glider has been attached for cleaning fl oors.
❐ Never direct the steam on one spot for longer than around 10 seconds without interruption.
This may damage the surface.

Cleaning the Floor

We recommend that, before using the device, you sweep the fl oor with a broom or
vacuum it using a vacuum cleaner.
1. Attach the handle rod with the handle and the cleaning foot to the main unit. Attach to the
cleaning foot the fl oor cloth and, if you want to clean a carpet, the carpet glider (see the
"Assembling / Dismantling the Device" chapter).
2. Fill the water reservoir (see the "Filling / Emptying the Water Reservoir" chapter).
3. To unwind the mains cable, turn the upper hook for winding up the cable down and pull off
the cable.
4. Select a fl oor covering using the switch for selecting the fl oor covering. The amount of steam
required for cleaning is then automatically adjusted to refl ect the corresponding fl oor covering.
You have the following options to choose from.
– Carpet
– Wood / laminate
– PVC / vinyl
– Tiles / stone
5. Place the device in an upright position. The joint of the cleaning foot locks in place in a vertical
position.
6. Insert the mains plug into a properly installed plug socket that is easily accessible.
7. Press the On/Off switch to switch on the device. The viewing window in the water reservoir
lights up red as soon as the device starts heating up. Wait until the device has reached operating
temperature and the viewing window lights up blue.
8. You can now start cleaning the fl oor. Hold the device by the handle and lower it gently towards
the fl oor. Slide the cleaning foot slowly back and forth over the fl oor. The fl oor is cleaned as you
do this. With the selection switch, you can select a different fl oor covering at any time and thus
regulate the amount of steam emitted.
9. When the light in the viewing window of the water reservoir fl ashes red, the water reservoir
needs to be topped up. Press the On/Off switch to switch off the device and top up the water
