b) Exchanging the adapter at the optical input (A7)

The scope of delivery includes 2 additional adapters for the optical measuring input A7.
With them, you can connect an ST plug with 2.5 mm or an SC plug to the input.
No dust should enter the visual input. When replacing the adapter, particularly observe
that you perform the change in the most dust-free atmosphere possible!
• If the device is switched on, switch it off first.
• Now screw the original adapter off of the measuring input (A7).
For this, just turn it counter-clockwise until you can take it off.
• Then take the adapter that you want to use, e.g. the ST-adapter.
• Screw it onto the connection A7 clockwise and tighten it hand-tightly.
If you do not want to perform any measurements now, ensure that the protection cap is
pushed or screwed onto the adapter. In case of the ST adapter, push the rubber plug
into the adapter to protect it.

c) Connection to a fibreglass cable

You can connect an optical fibre cable with FC plug (2.5 mm) to the standard connection. After
replacing the adapter, there also is the option of connecting a cable with ST plug (2.5 mm) or
SC plug.
To connect a cable with ST-plug, proceed as follows:
• First, remove the protection cap from the meter connection.
For the standard connection, screw the protection cap counter-clockwise for this until you
can take it off.
• Carefully push the FC-plug into the opening and turn it until the guide has latched properly.
• Screw the closure clockwise until it is tightened hand-tightly.
• To remove the cable, proceed in the reverse order.
