d) Switching the device on and off

• To switch on the power meter, push the on/off button (A4) for 2 to 3 seconds until the device
switches on and the display appears.
The device always starts with the following settings:
Display lighting on; automatic deactivation function on; pre-set wavelength 1310 nm;
measuring unit main display dBm; measuring unit secondary display nW;
• To switch off the endoscope again, just push the on/off button (A4). Once the display goes
out, the device is off.
e) Switching the display lighting on and off
After switching the product on the display lighting is on automatically.
To switch the display lighting on or off, briefly push the button A9.

f) Switching the automatic deactivation function on and off

To switch the automatic deactivation function off or on, push the button A11.
If the upper left of the display shows the clock (B1), the function is active. The device then
switches off automatically after 30 minutes when no button is pushed or measurement
performed.

g) Setting the wavelength

The PM-22 can measure the following wavelengths: 850, 980, 1300, 1310, 1490, 1550,
1620 nm.
The wavelength is displayed at the upper middle of the measuring unit "nm" (nanometer).
For setting, simply switch through the wavelengths with the button A10 from highest to lowest
value.
Always set the same value that the object to be measured has as well.
