pH calibration menu
The calibration menu contains the options for the calibration method used for ph
measurement.
Quick-Cal starts a one-point calibration.
This option should be selected at the earliest when a 2-point calibration has already
been carried out.
2-point calibration starts the 2-point calibration.
Operating the go on function terminates the calibration process and opens the
calibration module selection menu again.
Quick-Cal pH
This type of calibration must have been preceded by a 2-point calibration since the
Quick-Cal function does not calculate the mutual conductance of the electrode anew
but only uses an offset with the mutual conductance so that the pH value can be
adapted within the range of the reference value and the error in this range is
minimised.
The reference value function is used to specify the pH value that has been established
through a different method, independent of the current measuring solution.
The go on function is used to adopt the reference value allocated to the measured
value and opens the calibration module selection menu.
2-point calibration pH
This is where the adjustments required for the calibration are made.
NOTE
The pH value of the reference buffer solution for the first calibration must be entered
under buffer 1.
Value range: 0.00 pH to 14.00 pH
The pH value of the reference buffer solution for the second calibration must be
entered under buffer 2.
Value range: 0.00 pH to 14.00 pH

Buffer solutions of e.g. pH 4 and pH 7 should be used for the calibration if the
measurements are predominantly carried out in acidic media. Buffer solutions of
e.g. pH 7 and pH 9.2 should be used for the calibration if the measurements are
predominantly carried out in alkaline media.
