Double-screened connection cable

The potential equalization line (brown) must only be connected if it has to be assumed
that the measurement device and measurement liquid are not on the same earthing
potential. In this case, an additional electrical link to the measurement liquid is provided
for potential equalization and the sensor-side potential equalization line is to be applied
there.
nd
The 2
cable shield is to be applied via the earthing clamp to the PE.

3.1.3

Temperature sensor input connection

The connection provided for the temperature sensor input is a 3-wire connection
system. If the input is to be changed to a 2-wire connection system, the red jumper
near the terminals on the measuring module must be moved.

Jumper between 2 and 3: 3-wire connection system

Electrode installation

The electrodes must be installed in such a way that they deviate a maximum of 80°
from vertical. This rule also applies for the calibration of the electrodes.

The 3-wire connection system is preferable.
When using 2-wire connection systems, the temperature measured is too high if
long cables are employed.
Since the pH value measurement is based on electrochemical processes, the
measured value constantly adapts itself to the actual pH value of the solution. The
measuring signal does not follow erratically after the pH value changes.
If 2 or 3 pH measurements are placed, a self-monitoring pH measurement (see
general part of the operating instructions 6.3) can be employed.
