Anti-kickback heels
An appliance that stops the work piece from kicking back.
How to avoid kickback
• Make sure you have set the correct planing height.
• Inspect the piece to be planed for nails screws or twigs, remove all the loose twigs,
never plane nails or screws or loose twigs in a piece.
• Make sure blades are sharp and correctly set.
• Never plane damp or warped pieces.
• Stand straight and hold the piece of work with both hands when feeding in or out.
Never stand level with the work piece.
