Wear a hairnet or something similar if you have long hair.
9. Always wear protective goggles.
Wear protective goggles. Also, use dust filters or protective masks for dusty jobs.
10. Using suction equipment.
If the machine can attach suction equipment for dust removal, make sure
the equipment is connected and used correctly.
11. Do not handle the electric cable roughly.
Do not jerk the cable, but instead pull the plug when you remove it from the wall
socket. Make sure electric cable does not come into contact with heat, oil or
sharp edges.
12. Fasten material correctly.
When possible, use clamps or vices to fasten the work piece. It is safer than
securing the object with your hand.
13. Do not stretch too far.
Make sure that you are standing securely and balanced the whole time.
14. Keep the machine in trim.
Make sure it is clean and the edges are sharpened for optimal effect and good
results. Follow the manual's recommendations for greasing and changing
attachments. Check the electrical cable regularly. If it is damaged it should be
changed by a qualified service technician. Inspect all the extension cables regularly
to make sure they are not damaged. Make sure that the machine handle and lever
are clean, dry and completely free from oil, grease etc.
15. Turning the power off.
Pull out the plug and push the emergency stop before servicing and changing
attachments, such as planing steel, drills, steel, sanding-belts or blades.
16. Remove all keys and service tools.
Routinely check that all keys and service tools have been removed from
the machine before you turn the power on.
17. Avoid unintentional start-ups.
Do not carry a machine while your finger is on the power switch if the cable is in
the socket. Make sure the power switch is set to OFF when you put the plug in.
18. Use the correct extension cables.
If you use extension cables outdoors, only use those intended for outside use.
Use extension cables with sufficient conductor lead areas and unwind
the whole cable.
19. Use Common sense and be careful.
Think carefully before carrying out an operation, to make sure you perform it safely.
Do not use the machine when you are tired, under medication etc.
