• Extract the cable terminal and insert the insulated ends of the cable into
the terminals.
Make sure that the wiring is correct. Always connect the plus
terminals with one another and then the minus terminals. If the
connection is incorrect, none of the smoke alarms is working. Also
it´s possible that the smoke alarms will be destroyed.
• Press the locking pin into the cable terminal so that the cables are fixed in
the cable terminals.
• Connect the smoke alarms as displayed in figure 10; make sure thereby
that the wiring/polarity is correct. The cable is to be conducted from one
smoke alarm to the next, then to the third smoke alarm etc.
• Mount the module covering with the radio module.
• Insert the three alkaline Mignon batteries (AA) with the polarity correct.
• Place the smoke alarm on the lower bulb.
The cables have to be conducted through the opening of the
module covering to the outside. Make sure that the cables are not
squeezed in by the seal when placing the smoke alarm on to the
lower bulb.
If no radio module has been inserted, superfluous cable (which is necessary
for easier battery replacement) can be accommodated in the module shaft
in front of the cable terminal.
If you wish to insert the radio module, there is room for the cable above
the module covering.
Please note that too much cable above the module covering can
impair the radio transmission.
• Carry out a function test according to section 7 for each smoke alarm
mounted in this manner.
