b) Starting operation
• Slacken the two fastening screws of the module covering and remove the
module covering with the radio module from the device.
Do not use force, do not cant the module! Extract it directly
upwards.
Screw
• Turn the module around and check whether the jumper J6 has been positioned
(see figure 5, at top right).
If not, position the jumper J6 on the multiple pin strip as displayed
in figure 5.
The jumper J5 on the other hand must remain open!
• Insert the module into the housing again. Make sure thereby that the eight-
pin multiple jack strip of the radio module is placed exactly on the 8-pin
multiple pin strip on the inside of the smoke alarm.
Only when all the pins of the smoke alarm have been inserted in
to the multiple jack strip can faultless functioning be assured.
