6. Mounting and putting into operation

a) Mounting the lower bulb

Do not fail to observe the instruction for mounting the smoke
alarm in section 5 from page 36.
• Remove the upper bulb of the smoke alarm by turning the upper and lower
bulbs carefully against one another (in the anticlockwise direction- fixed
locking of the upper/lower bulb is only possible if batteries are inserted!).

• The lower bulb can be screwed tightly by means of the two fastening holes,
e.g. to the wall or the room ceiling.
Depending on the base, two fastening holes are to be drilled previously and
suitable dowels inserted.
Make sure when drilling/tightening the screws that no
power, gas or water pipes are damaged! Danger to life!
• Alternatively, the lower bulb can also be mounted with the two spacers (e.g.
if cables are laid below the smoke alarm) or with the screws of an installation
box.
