1. Intended Use

The radio smoke alarm "RM100B868P1" registers the development of smoke
(smouldering fires and open fires with development of smoke). From a certain
smoke concentration, the smoke alarm activates the integrated signal
transmitter. In addition, a red warning LED is activated and a white LED for
emergency lighting.
The smoke alarm is at the same time passed on by radio to all smoke alarms
of the same type located within radio range. This enables reaction to a spatially
distant fire (e.g. in another floor of a house) in good time.
The smoke alarm can be extended with other radio smoke alarms of this type
to a system with any desired number of alarms.
In addition, a smoke alarm can be passed on through a cable connection
between several smoke alarms of the "RM100"-series. Rooms can also be
monitored in this way which have technically difficult conditions. Apart form
this, the connection to the central alarm point "FAZ-Z" of the FAZ3000 alarm
system and to the central building alarm "HMS100" of the central radio house
""FHZ1000" is possible.
To prevent overlapping with other radio services in the 868MHz-band, the
system can be encoded with a house code and in this manner protected against
false alarms through other radio transmitters in this frequency range.
The power supply must take place by way of batteries.
Mounting and operation is only permitted in dry, closed rooms. The product
may not become damp or wet.
Any use other than that described above, will lead to damage to this product
involves other risks such as, for example, short circuit,, fire, electric shock.
No part of the product may be modified or converted. Operation is only
permitted when the housing is fully closed.
