13. Basic adjustment of the digital trim

Before you can test the model's control functions, it is
necessary to test and correctly set the current digital trim
settings.
The remote control transmitter has four trim buttons (see
figure 1, no. 5, 6, 9 and 11) that can be used to "electroni-
cally centre" the two joysticks.
If the model subsequently, e.g. during flight, shows a ten-
dency to constantly fly to the left, the rudder can be ad-
justed far enough to the right using the rudder trim that the
model once again flies in a straight line.
The trim can be adjusted during the flight.

When the trim button is pressed briefly, the remote control
emits a short beep that becomes higher or lower depend-
ing on which direction the trim button is moved in. If the
trim button is pushed and held in position, the beeps are
emitted in a quick rhythm.
Once the centre position has been reached, a double beep is emitted. The end of the respective setting range is
signalled by a longer beep. The complete trim path is approximately 30 individual steps.
Now set all four trim buttons in the centre position.
