7. Unpacking

Check that all parts are complete and intact.
Damaged parts must not be used for safety reasons. If any
parts are damaged, contact our customer service for assis-
tance.

8. Making measurements

a) Important notes

• The tester is designed for the analysis of discrete, unconnected
components with no current. This ensures that external connec-
tions do not have effect on the parameters measured. The three
probes can be connected to the component. If the component
has only two pins, any two of the three probes can be used.
• First connect the component to the probes. The tester starts the
component analysis when the ON/Analyse button is pressed
while the device is switched off. To start a new analysis, press
the ON/Analyse button again, or switch the device off by press-
ing the OFF/Page button and then press the ON/Analyse button
again.
• Depending on the component type, the analysis may take a few
seconds. The results of the analysis are then displayed. Infor-
mation is shown as a "page". Each page can be displayed by
quickly pressing the OFF/Page button.
