n) Thyristors

Sensitive low power thyristors (silicon
controlled rectifiers, SCRs) and triacs
that require gate currents and holding
currents lower than 5 mA can be identi-
fied and analysed using the tester. Thy-
ristor terminals are anode, cathode and
gate. The thyristor pinout is displayed
when the OFF/Page button is pressed
again.
The triac terminals are MT1 and MT2
(MT stands for main terminal) and gate.
MT1 is the terminal used to reference
the gate current.
