Umschalten von Bandzählwerk auf Echtzeit
• Mit der Taste schalten Sie zwischen Bandzählwerk und Anzeige
der Echtzeit (Minuten und Sekunden) um.
Abstimmung der Echtzeitanzeige
Die Echtzeitmessung muß sich erst auf die Dicke des verwendeten
Bandmaterials in der Kassette einstellen.
Starten Sie z. B. die Wiedergabe, blinkt der Doppelpunkt zwischen
der Sekunden- und Minutenanzeige (-:--) für einige Zeit.
Während dieser Zeit werden die Banddicke und andere Werte
berechnet. Ist dieser Vorgang abgeschlossen, läuft die Anzeige der
Echtzeit auch bei schnellem Vor- und Rücklauf mit.
Zurücksetzen des Zählwerkes
• Drücken Sie z. B. am Beginn einer Aufnahme die Taste CANCEL,
um den Zählerstand auf 0 zurückzusetzen.
Speichern von Bandpositionen
• Durch Drücken der Taste MEMORY, können Sie die momentane
Bandposition speichern.
– Im Display erscheint das Zeichen MEMO.
• Betätigen Sie dann im STOP-Betrieb die Taste S (schneller Rück-
lauf), spult das Gerät zurück und stoppt an der entsprechenden
Stelle.
• Drücken Sie die Taste MEMORY erneut, beenden Sie die Funktion.

INTRODUCTION
Space Fidelity - The background
Surround sound systems try to produce realistic 3-
dimensional sound. But with five speakers, it demands
space, and is not always easy to fit into the room decor.
Because of this, various alternative solutions have
appeared. All aim to create a surround sound effect from a
compact, easy-to-handle source.
These systems invariably use side lobing from speakers.
The direct sound is minimized, and surround sound is
generated by reflections from the walls of the listening
space. This method can generate all-round sound, but
cannot by its nature reproduce clean stereo.
Space Fidelity is itself based on side-lobing. But it is not
dependent on wall reflections and therefore reproduces
natural, true-to-life sound.
For a stereo channel, Space Fidelity produces a bi-polar
energy field that creates an air flow, equally powerfull in
both directions, so, in effect, it creates circular sound
pressure fields.
Wherever you may be in the listening space, Space
Fidelity gives a much broader stereo sound sensation.
Damping of the walls does not detract from the live-
performance quality of the sound, and in certain
circumstances may indeed improve it.
Space Fidelity's acoustic tube creates precisely controlled
acoustical coupling between two conventional cone
loudspeakers, one for each stereo channel, at the opposite
ends of the tube. Inside the tube, the nature and geometry
of the damping material (a bundle of very narrow evenly
distributed channels) absorbs and controls, to avoid the
reflections. This mutual interaction achieves wide-ranging
freedom from reflections and good level response over the
full frequency range.
As a result, the tube emits intrinsically synchronous wave
fronts, with precise phase relations. The sound is natural,
three dimensional and still free of blurring and loss of
definition.

The sound image is the same everywhere in the room.
With conventional stereo systems, you only hear stereo
when you are inside an area of a few square metres
between and in front of the speakers.
Space Fidelity gives you a thrilling personal stereo
experience everywhere you go in the listening space.
Space Fidelity's stereo is not focused in the centre of the
room at all. It follows you around, like the eyes of the
Mona Lisa. Wherever you go, you hear the same unique
live sound: Space Fidelity sound.
Kopieren von CD auf Kassette (CD-COPY)
Ihr Kassettendeck ist in der Lage,Kontrollkommandos an den CD-Spieler
zu übertragen. Hierdurch wird das Kopierverfahren CD-COPY durch
Drücken von nur einer Taste ermöglicht.
Dazu können Sie die einzelnen Titel einer CD oder eines Programmes
so auf die beiden Seiten einer Kassette verteilen, daß keine lange
Leerpassagen auf einer Kassettenseite entstehen.
• Dazu muß sich eine bespielbare Kassette im Laufwerk und eine CD
im CD-Spieler befinden.
• Spulen Sie zur Vorbereitung die Kassette an die vorgesehene Band-
stelle. Wählen Sie am CD-Spieler die gewünschten Titel.
• Drücken Sie jetzt die Taste CD COPY 2 Sekunden lang.
– Die Aufnahme beginnt. Der CD-Spieler ist zunächst auf Pause
gestellt und beginnt nach 4 Sekunden die Wiedergabe.
– Beginnen Sie die Aufnahme am Anfang des Kassettenbandes, läuft
Ihr Kassettendeck an, um ca. 6 Sekunden Vorspannband
abzuspulen. Anschließend wird der CD-Spieler automatisch
gestartet.
– Während des Überspielvorganges können Sie nur die Tasten 9
(STOP), SOURCE oder / DISC// TAPE betätigen (die Aufnahme
wird gestoppt). Alle anderen Funktionen sind gesperrt.
– Beendet der CD-Spieler die Wiedergabe als erstes, sendet er ein
entsprechendes Kommando an das Kassettendeck, die Aufnahme
wird gestoppt.
– Ist die Kassettenseite als erstes zu Ende, schaltet der CD-Spieler in
PAUSE-Modus (;).
– Haben Sie Reverse-Betrieb angewählt (∂), wählt Ihr Gerät die
andere Kassettenseite und setzt die Aufnahme fort.
Das Vorspannband wird abgespult, dann startet die CD mit dem
Anfang des zuletzt gehörten Stückes.

Turnit - the main benefits
Turnit
The Turnit consists of two parts, a slim line control unit and
an active speaker, the sound unit.
These two units can be set on top of each other or placed
separately in the room.
Using the control unit and sound unit plugged together
– You can turn the sound unit 180˚ to select either the
aluminium or wooden front.
The stereo placement is adjusted automatically (left
channel comes from the left of the sound unit and right
channel comes from the right).
– The power supply is sent directly from the sound unit
into the control unit.
Using the control unit and sound unit in separate places
– In case you set up the units in separate places in your
listening room, the communication between control unit
and sound unit takes place via RF transmission.
– In order to guarantee the correct stereo placement, you
should use the aluminium side of the sound unit as front.
– In this case a separate mains cable has to be
connected to the control unit.
Note: Switch off both units with the POWER button before
separating them.
Setting up Turnit
Turnit is very good-natured, and you can stand it almost
anywhere to enjoy superb sound. But if you want to feel
the full force of this exciting system, give it a little 'breathing
space'.
• The sound unit has two wheels to facilitate the transport
of this unit.
Slightly angle the set so that it moves easily on its
wheels.
• Give the sound unit one-and-a-half to three metres of
free space on both sides.
• Stand it off thirty centimetres from the wall.
• Then move back, sit back, and experience it. The most
exciting sound you ever heard.
