Display
The display indicates
– when receiving FM stereo stations

The tape stops at the end of each side.

After selecting TUNER
S T to start the station search (AUTO TUNING) or
to advance the frequency step by step
(MANUAL TUNING).

to scroll through the station memory.
to switch the display indication between the
station name (RDS, or another name you
assign), RDS time, RADIOTEXT and station
frequency.
When pressing
longer, the EDIT mode will be
entered in which station names can be given
with the following keys:
+ / – to go to a next/previous position on the
display (cursor)
3 / 4 to go through the alphabet,
0-9 and space symbol.
CANCEL - to clear the last name.
MEMORY to store a set station at the lowest respective
memory location. When pressing this key
longer, the AUTO STORE function will be
started.
CANCEL
to delete individual memory locations or, if
desired, the entire memory contents (press more
than 10 seconds).
MODE
to select the tuner mode function: then press
+ / – to select the desired waveband: FM
STEREO ™ FM MONO
Press 3 / 4 to select ANTENNA or CABLE.
Select CABLE to switch on the FM antenna
attenuator for reducing radio disturbance if your
system is connected to broadband cable, and
the reception signal is too strong.

Changing the batteries
If the range of your infrared remote control seems to
decrease, or if certain individual functions can no longer
be carried out, you should replace the batteries. Two
mignon 1.5 Volt LR03 size AAA are required.
To change the batteries, open the compartment on the
back of the remote control. Ensure that the batteries are
inserted properly (note the markings in the compartment).
And in the interest of the environment: Remember that
batteries must always be disposed of properly.

then press 3 / 4 to switch the repeat mode on
and off: REPEAT ON ™ REPEAT OFF.

General functions
switches the unit to STAND BY.

mutes the speakers
SOURCE SELECTION
CD
selects the CD player.

TUNER
selects the TUNER (radio).

TAPE
selects the TAPE (cassette deck)
AUX
selects the AUX (auxiliary) input.
DISPLAY
to move the display up or down.
when pressed for more than 5 seconds it
changes the brightness of the display from 'nor-
mal brightness' to '50% brightness' to 'display off'.
MODE
when pressed for more than 5 seconds it
switches the RF transmission on and off.
The display indicates ROOM B ON or ROOM B OFF.
Note: When the control unit is not placed on
top of the sound unit (placed in separate
places), it is not possible to switch the RF
transmission off (it is always on).
Sound functions
BASS
to call up the BASS adjustment mode
then press + / – (within 2 seconds) to adjust
the bass tones
TREBLE
to call up the TREBLE adjustment mode
then press + / – (within 2 seconds) to adjust
the high tones
MEMORY to store user sound presets at the lowest
memory location
POWER
switches POWER SOUND (Loudness)
SOUND
on and off.
SOUND
to scroll through the sound presets:FLAT,
CONTROL VOCAL, DISCO, JAZZ, USER1 and USER 2.
Note: FLAT, VOCAL, DISCO and JAZZ are pre-
defined presets.
CANCEL
to delete user sound presets (when they are
selected).
After selecting TAPE
to start cassette playback in normal direction
2/PAUSE
and to switch the cassette deck to PAUSE.
to start cassette playback in reverse direction.

to stop all cassette functions.

S T When the unit is in STOP mode: fast forward or
backward.
When pressed during playback: MUSIC
SEARCH forward (to the beginning of the next
track) or backward (to the beginning of the
current track) Maximum 15 tracks can be
skipped.
to switch the display indication between the
COUNTER (tape counter) and TIME (real time in
minutes and seconds).
RECORD
press more than 2 seconds to start the
recording function.
CD COPY press more than 2 seconds to start the CD-
COPY function (recording from CD to cassette).
MEMORY to store a tape position in the memory. Pressing
again will clear the stored tape position.
CANCEL
to set the tape counter to zero: 0000.
MODE
to select the Dolby NR and reverse selection
mode:
then press + / – to switch Dolby Noise
Reductions system on or off: DOLBY ON ™
DOLBY OFF
Press 3 / 4 to select the desired reverse mode:
REVERSE OFF å ™ AUTOREVERSE ∂ ™
CONT. PLAY ∫
REVERSE OFF å – the tape stops at the end
of each side.
AUTOREVERSE ∂
– playback (+ recording) of
both cassette sides; after which the tape stops
