Problem:
Immediate READY display for the Discharge programme or immediate start of charging with Check pro-
gramme
Solution:
- Deep discharged battery: cancellation of discharge to protect the battery
Problem:
Low charge capacity (C) although the battery was discharged
Solution:
Process battery with Alive programme. If the charge capacity C is still too low then, the battery is defec-
tive.
Problem:
EMV impulses, electrostatic discharge = ESD, surge impulse or conductive fail-safety
Solution:
- No information on the display or it does not work:
switch device off on the mains and switch it back on
- Error message: The hardware error identification to protect the battery was active here: remove the
battery, reinserte it and enter programme
Problem:
Significant warming on the housing
Solution:
- The high performance of the device results in a heating of the top and bottom of the housing; there is no
fault, ensure good ventilation (see Section 3. Safety notes)
ATTENTION
Any repairs other than those described above must be carried out by an approved
specialist.

Overview

Procedure
Insert battery. If the battery is not identified automatically, check the polarity.
Then set the programme with the two SELECT keys and confirm with the OK key.
Remove battery if the programme is incorrect, insert the battery again and enter the programme again.
The CHA, DIS, CHK, CYC and ALV charge types can be seleceted.
If the charging device has completely finished loading the battery, READY (RDY) appears on the display.
The battery can be removed.
