7. Spare parts and asessories
The inspection window is used for monitoring the growth of the grease layer wit-
hout having to open the tank (odour pollution). With the tank closed, the window
can be cleaned from the inside using a hand lever. The matching screw set for
attachment to the grease separator is included in the scope of supply. The
inspection window can be retrofitted. Retrofitting must be carried out by KESSEL
customer services, however!

The separator must be filled with water before initial operation and after disposal
before soiled water is allowed to enter.
This can be carried out
➤ by the disposer
➤ via connected inlet points
➤ using a permanently installed KESSEL filling device
On site, the filling device is connected to the R1 thread connection on the inlet
pipe, in which a shut-off valve must be connected. To avoid odour pollution, the
odour trap of the siphon must always have a high enough water level. If the fil-
ling device is retrofitted, the connection to the grease separator must be set up on
site. The KESSEL filling device with the free outlet meets the requirements of DIN
1988 DVGW and local authorities.

The cold and hot water inlet pipes of the filling connection can be shut off by
remote controlled solenoid valves instead of shut-off cocks.
