AFTER THE HEATING PROCESS
WARNING:
When pouring hot water, large amounts of hot steam could escape.
Leave the lid closed for pouring to avoid scalds. Instead, press the pouring button. The
lid will not close water-tight. to avoid the build-up of high pressure during the heating
process. Always keep the kettle in an upright position, when moving the filled kettle.
5. Unplug the power base, if you do not wish to use the appliance again.
6. Grasp the kettle by the handle and take the kettle off the power base. Be aware
that the water could still be boiling within the kettle thus splashing out of the spout.
Thus, press the pouring button several times before pouring. Pour hot water carefully
by pressing the pouring button.
7. We recommend to empty the kettle completely after each usage to avoid excessive
build-up of scale within the kettle. Rinse the kettle with cold, clear tap water.
WARNING:
To avoid the risk of overheating, fire and electric shock, always unplug
the appliance when not in use.
Note:
During the heating process some condensate could build up on the base. This is nor-
mal and will not affect the performance of the appliance.
8. After emptying, if you do not wish to use the kettle again, ensure that the power base
is disconnected from the power supply. Then place the kettle back onto the base to
protect the connectors of the kettle and the power base against dust, moisture, and
damage.
Note:
If the kettle is switched ON with too less water in the kettle, the overheat protection
will switch OFF the appliance almost immediately (see: 'Properties of Your New Water
Kettle'). Leave the kettle cool down for at least 15 minutes, before switching on again.
