h) Practical flight tips for the first start
Even though the model can fly in the narrowest spaces, for the first test flights, we recommend using a free space of
about 5 x 5 m.
When flying the quadrocopter outdoors for the first time, there should be absolutely no wind.
Place yourself directly behind your quadrocopter. As long as the two propellers with the yellow LEDs pointing towards
you and you are therefore seeing your model from behind, the model will react to the control commands "right, left,
forward and backward" exactly as you command it on the transmitter. However, if your model is facing you, with the
propellers with the red LEDs towards you, from your perspective it will react exactly the opposite way to your steering
commands on the transmitter.
Allow the quadrocopter to climb to eye level after start up. This enables the flight altitude to be detected optimally and
the quadrocopter is visibly more stable than at ground level. This is because, if the quadrocopter flies so low that the
air blown downwards by the propellers reaches the ground (ground effect), the altitude is significantly more unstable.
Should the propellers run into objects and become blocked, immediately push the pitch joystick to the lowest setting
so that the affected drive motors are no longer supplied with power.
Attention, important!
Never try to grab hold of the flying quadrocopter with your hands. There is an increased risk of injury!
If the red and yellow LEDs on the quadrocopter start to flash, the flight battery has reached its lower voltage limit.
In this case, stop the flight operation and charge the flight battery again in order to avoid a deep discharge that can
damage the flight battery.
If the quadrocopter is used outside, pay attention to the flight distance. The further away the quadrocopter is from you,
the harder it is to detect the altitude. If the quadrocopter is so far away that it can no longer receive transmitter signal,
the red and yellow LEDs on the quadrocopter start to flash and it automatically hovers at a steady altitude.
Never switch off the transmitter while the quadrocopter is flying.
