● Health injuries as a result from the effect of vibration
on the hands and arms when the product is used over
a long period of time or when it is not used and
maintained correctly.
● Cutting injuries.
● Risks caused by the electromagnetic field the product
cause during operation. There are circumstances
when this field can have a negative effect on active or
passive medical implants.
● To decrease the risks of serious or fatal injuries, it is
recommended that persons who wear medical
implants refer to their doctor and the manufacturer of
the implant before they use the product.
3.7 To decrease exposure to noise
and vibration
● Make the work schedule so that the exposure to
vibration is divided over a long period.
● To decrease noise and vibrations during operation, do
not use the product for long periods of time. Use
correct safety equipment.
● Follow the precautions to decrease the risk of
exposure to vibration and noise:
• Do a check that the product is in good condition.
• Only use accessories that are in good condition,
and applicable for the operation.
• Keep a firm grip on the handles or grips.
3.8 Safety instructions for operation
● Read and obey the warning instructions before
operation.
● Do not use the product if you are tired, ill, or
intoxicated. This will decrease your vision, alertness,
coordination and judgement.
● Do not let children or persons who do not know the
product to use it.
● Do not use the product if it is damaged.
● Do not make changes to the product.
● Use the product only for its specified function.
● Wear ear protectors when you use the product.
Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.

Assembly
WARNING! Make sure that the product is dis-
connected from the power source before you install the
guard.
4.1
To install the guard for the
cutting disc
WARNING! The guard must be installed when you
use the product.
WARNING! Make sure that you use the applicable
disc for the operation. Cutting discs are much thinner
than a grinding discs. Incorrect use of the product can
cause rupture or breakage.

Open the clamping lever.

Put the guard into the groove of the spindle head.

Turn the guard to the correct position. Make sure
that the closed side of the guard is pointed to the
operator.

Close the clamping lever to safety the guard.
NOTE! Make sure that the guard is correctly attached on
the spindle head. If necessary, adjust the tension of the
clamp with the adjustment screw.
4.2 To install a grinding or cutting
disc
WARNING! Disconnect the power cable. Make
sure that the switch is in the OFF position. Do a check
that the protective cover is correctly installed.

Put the inner flange onto the drive shaft. Make
sure that both flat sides are aligned.

Put a grinding or cutting disc on the drive shaft.
Make sure that the disc is correctly attached on
the inner flange.

Put the outer flange on the thread. Make sure the
outer flange is installed correctly.
NOTE! For grinding discs, install the outer flange with the
flat side against the disc.
NOTE! For cutting discs, install the flange as specified for
that specific type of disc.

Push and hold the spindle lock. Make sure that the
drive shaft cannot rotate.
