Notes and requirements

The unit has been developed and constructed in accordance with recognised
state of the art.
Nevertheless, the use may include a risk of injuries and death of users or third
people and/or the risk of damage of the unit or other property.
None of the safety devices may be removed or tampered with, as this causes
risks and the intended use of the unit cannot be guaranteed. Removal of the
safety features during set up, repairs and maintenance is described in a special
paragraph. As soon as this work is completed, the safety devices must be
reassembled.
If third party products are used (e.g. cleaning liquids), the operator of the unit is
to ensure that the unit is safe for the product to be used.
All safety and danger labels as well as the rating plate attached onto the unit are
to be maintained, kept in a readable state and respected.
Safety instructions shall increase labour safety and prevent accidents. They
must be observed.
Observe the safety instructions listed in this chapter and the special notes
included in the text body.
In addition to these operating instructions, the general regulations on safety and
prevention of accidents (in Germany and other countries) UVV BGV A3, TRBS
2131 and BGR 500 Chapter 2.26 (previous VGB 15): „Welding, cutting and
associated processes" and in particular the references to arc welding and cutting
and the appropriate national regulations) must be observed.
Please also note the safety instructions in the workplace of the operator.
REHM welding units are, unless explicitly permitted in writing by REHM, only for
sale to commercial and industrial users and only for use by such.
The BOOSTER.PRO welding units are designed in accordance with EN 60974-1
Arc welding equipment - Welding power supplies for overvoltage category III and
pollution level 3 and with EN 60974-10 Arc welding equipment - Electromagnetic
compatibility for Group 2 Class A, and are suitable for use in all areas expect
residential areas, which are directly connected to a public low voltage power
supply. Due to the cable-related and radiated interferences it may be difficult to
guarantee the electromagnetic compatibility in these areas. In this context,
suitable actions have to be taken to fulfil the requirements (power supply filters,
electrical shielding, e.g. use of shielded cables, welding cables as short as
possible, work piece grounding, potential equalization) and evaluation of the
environment (e.g. computers, control equipment, radio and TV stations, people in
the neighbourhood, e.g. use of a cardiac pacemakers). The responsibility for
interferences lies with the operator. You may find more notes and
recommendations in standard DIN EN60974-10:2008-09, annex A.
WARNING: This equipment does not comply with EN/IEC 61000-3-12. If it is
connected to a public low voltage system, it is the responsibility of the installer or
user of the equipment to ensure, by consultation with the distribution network
operator if necessary, that the equipment may be connected.
