11 Commissioning

10.3 Installation with clamp connections

1. Ensure sealing surfaces on the connection clamps are
clean and undamaged.

2. Carefully align connection clamps 1 and 3 before connect-
ing.
3. Centre the seals 2 accurately.

4. Connect the clamp of the ball valve and the clamp of the
piping with the appropriate sealing clamp 4.
5. Only use connector elements made of approved materials!

10.4 After the installation

● Re-attach or reactivate all safety and protective devices.

Provide precautionary measures against exceeding the

maximum permitted pressures caused by pressure
surges (water hammer).
1. Check the tightness and the function of the product (close
and reopen the product).
2. Flush the piping system of new plant and following repair
work (the product must be fully open).
ð Harmful foreign matter has been removed.
ð The product is ready for use.
3. Commission the product.
