Technical description

The accessory kit consists of several components
that are combined to provide a complete charging
system.
Battery control booster
The battery control booster enables charging
either on the 230 V mains or while driving via the
integrated 12 V charging booster. If neither of
these two charging sources is available, pulser
operation is activated to protect the battery from
sulfation.
The house battery type used can be set directly on
the device via DIP switches. With the temperature
sensor connected, the temperature of the house
battery is monitored during charging and adjusted
according to the measured temperature on the
battery.
Battery monitor
The battery monitor is the central monitoring unit
of the accessory kit. The battery monitor displays
the available battery capacity, voltage and the
actual amount of energy generated or consumed
and provides information about the temperature of
the starting battery and the date and time.
Solar system (only MT PowerPack CLASSIC I + II,
MT PowerPack CLASSIC POWER I + II, MT Power-
Pack CLASSIC POWER PLUS I + II)
The solar system converts sunlight into direct cur-
rent (DC) to charge the house battery and supply
standard on-board consumers, especially when a
connection to the mains is not available.
The included solar charger is intended to ensure
the correct charging voltage of the vehicle batter-
ies using microprocessor controlled IU0U
charging programs and to protect the batteries
against over voltage and deep discharge.
